Grapevine yellow speckle viroid 1 (GYSVd-1)

This viroid is common and infects grapevine in various regions. It often causes no noticeable disease symptoms, but sometimes induces yellow speckle symptoms with tiny yellow leaf spots along the veins. If a grapevine is infected by GYSVd-1 as well as GYSVd-2 or Grapevine fanleaf virus, then mottling and vein-banding symptoms might develop. In addition, other factors appear to be involved in the appearance of symptoms.
